(ENGLISH BELOW)
PSSSST! 😀
Bin gespannt ob es jemand nach backt,
lasst es mich wissen 🙂
ENGLISH VERSION:
Okay I admit it: recipes and me, we are not really friends. I belong to the category “ let’s pour it together and then we see what happens“ 😀
Of course, I’m reading recipes, but I never keep track! One of the main reasons why is actually that I do not have the ingredients at home, so i have to think about with what I could replace it with. 😉
This is what happened with my beloved baked apple. Normally, almonds are part of a traditional baked apple. And normally i do have almonds in my house, but not on this evening – .. what I had there: walnuts! I also need Raisins? -Oh, what the heck.. we don’t need that, do we? Vanilla / milk sauce? – I don’t have vanilla and I don’t like it; but ooh there is still a yogurt, let’s take that!
It happened EXACTLY LIKE THAT and quite honestly: MAN IT WAS DELICIOUS!
So delicious that in the end i used my very OWN recipe without changes 😀
And now enough talking, here’s the recipe:
2 apples
80g jam (I still had apricot jam at home)
about 80g walnuts (or just as much as it fits in an apple :-D, shame on me: I did not weigh it!) Jam and walnuts must have about the same amount!
(If you are not a fan of walnuts, try some other varieties!)
a pinch of cinnamon
Butter / margarine
1 or 2 fruit yoghurt (coincidentally there was still an apricot yoghurt that worked perfectly with the jam)
A muffin shape
If you don’t have chopped walnuts, then put a handful in the mixer and chop it small. Mix the nuts in a bowl with the jam and the pinch of cinnamon.
Hollow out the apples in the middle, so that you have no central core anymore and then stuff the nut / jam mixture with a wooden spoon into the hole.
Grease the mold, place the apples in the muffin tin and add a bit of butter on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C (gas: stage 3, circulating air 175 ° C) for approx. 25 min.
You can pour the yoghurt into a bowl and then put the warm apple on it and ENJOY!
My insider tip: put a tiny bit of Nutella on top of it :-D. Shhh! 😀
Let me know if you baked it!
